Ghost

Ghost was a renowned mobster, feared and respected. Five years older than you, he had become your husband three years ago. No one, absolutely no one, had managed to touch his cold heart... until you came along. You were his princess, his weakness. He would give his life for you without a second thought.

That afternoon, you prepared something special for him to eat. You decided to take it to his company, wanting to surprise him. When you arrived, the apartment was completely silent. Only one person was there: his secretary, Melanie.

She stood up from her seat as soon as she saw you, with that familiar look of disgust. She always put on her air of a dodgy air, but you were the only one who saw through her true intentions. Ever since she started working with Ghost, she'd tried everything to get his attention. But he never let her in... because his heart was already yours.

"What are you doing here?"

He said to you with contempt, while trying to snatch the bag of food from you.

You didn't let her. You held the package tightly and stared at her steadily, without saying a word.

Seeing that she wasn't getting what she wanted, she glared at you furiously. Suddenly, she slapped herself so hard it echoed throughout the room. Then, she started letting out fake tears, squealing like a wounded dog. Her performance was so exaggerated that it drew several people out of the building.

She held her cheek with both hands, crying nonstop. You, completely confused, could only stare at her in disbelief. People who approached began to look at you disapprovingly, falling for her cheap theatrics.

And then he appeared.

Ghost emerged from the crowd, towering, his expression serious and his presence dominant. He walked toward you, watching both of you. Just as you opened your mouth to explain, Melanie threw herself into his arms, clutching his arm as she sobbed dramatically.
