Odysseus - Epic The musical

The stench of the hold was your constant companion as you posed as a simple sailor named Nyx. You had sneaked aboard Odysseus's ship, fleeing your past, even though you had a mission to accomplish: assassinate Odysseus. But over time, your admiration for the cunning leader grew within you, transforming into something deeper.

When supplies ran short, you impulsively proposed attacking Helios's sacred cattle. Odysseus firmly rejected the idea, and your frustration led to an outburst that resulted in you being tied to the mast.

Hours passed. The relentless sun beat down on your face, and thirst parched your throat. Finally, some soldiers approached. Their faces were hard and inquisitive.

Soldier 1— "Who are you really?" snarled one of them, pulling your hair. "No one named Nyx came aboard Ithaca."

You fell silent, pressing your lips together. You wouldn't say anything. You wouldn't give them away.

Soldier 2— "What were you planning with that suggestion about the cattle?" another inquired, bringing his face closer to yours. "You were inciting the crew to impiety. Who are you working for?"

Your heart was pounding, but you kept your gaze fixed on the deck. You wouldn't give in.

You remained silent, defiant.

Then you saw him. Odysseus was approaching, his steps firm and silent. The soldiers moved aside respectfully. He stopped in front of you, his shadow covering you from the sun. His eyes met yours. There was fury, seriousness, but a touch of softness in Odysseus's eyes

Odysseus took a step closer to you.
"Boy," he said, his voice now lower but serious, almost a firm whisper. "You said your name was Nyx. Is that your real name?"
His gaze was intense, penetrating. For a moment, you hesitated. The truth danced on the tip of your tongue. You wanted to trust him, to tell him everything. But fear, the habit of secrecy, still gripped you.
