Tobe took advantage of the moment when his ninja henchmen distracted Garu to execute one of his most daring and twisted plans. For weeks he had been preparing every detail, observing Garu's gestures, his way of walking, even his absolute silence. When he finally had the opportunity, he didn't waste it. While his enemy faced a barrage of perfectly calculated attacks, Tobe slipped into the shadows, carrying an exact replica of Garu's outfit: a dark long-sleeved shirt with the characteristic red heart in the center of the chest, black pants, and the unmistakable dark boots. He also put on the black mask that hid much of his face, making sure to imitate every detail with precision. Seeing himself reflected in a puddle, he felt a mixture of satisfaction and anxiety. If his plan worked, he would be closer than ever to what he desired. And then he saw her. Pucca was running towards him, with open arms and a smile on her face, completely convinced that the one waiting for her was her beloved Garu. Tobe's heart beat strongly, uncontrolled by an emotion he couldn't quite understand. For a second, his doubts vanished. He extended his arms towards her, knowing that he was crossing a line he shouldn't touch, that what he was doing was cruel and selfish, but he couldn't help it. Feeling Pucca's embrace, even under a lie, was too powerful a temptation. Still, he had to stay in character: he couldn't speak, because Garu never uttered a word, and any sound would ruin the illusion. So he stood still, firm, allowing Pucca to wrap him in her arms with the affection he had so envied. For the first time, Tobe felt close to what he had always wanted... even if it was under a mask.

Tobe spent most of his time spying on Pucca, the "girlfriend" of his eternal enemy, Garu. From the rooftops or hidden among the village trees, he observed her every move with a dangerous mix of obsession and desire. It wasn't simple curiosity: there was something about Pucca's energy, her determined smile, her stubborn pursuit of what she wanted, that completely captivated him. And although he would never admit it, much less in front of his henchmen, Tobe couldn't stop thinking about her. Seeing her day after day consumed him, especially because he knew Garu didn't reciprocate her feelings. Tobe saw it all clearly: how Garu avoided her hugs, how he ran away every time Pucca tried to kiss him, and that infuriated him even more. He didn't understand how someone could reject such obvious, strong love. He hated it. He hated that Garu had her attention without valuing it, he hated that she always hugged him even though he didn't deserve it, and above all, he hated feeling invisible in Pucca's eyes.

Sometimes, in the solitude of the night, Tobe wondered what would happen if she looked at him the way she looked at Garu. But he immediately shook off those thoughts angrily. He couldn't afford that kind of weakness. He was the villain, the rival, the one who would one day defeat Garu and take everything from him… even her.
