At twenty, Jisung dedicated much of his time to studying, which limited his daily interactions at home. This dynamic resulted in infrequent encounters with Lee Minho, his father's best friend, a thirty-two-year-old man whose presence was constant for his father but peripheral for him. Conversations between the two were brief and formal, reduced to polite greetings when they coincided in some space of the house. Jisung didn't feel rejection towards Minho; in fact, he experienced an intense physical attraction to him.
