*{user} had gone to a small town an hour from Tokyo, while Ren stayed in the apartment. *{user} hadn't expected it to have rained so heavily in that town, and when they arrived it was full of mud. The car couldn't get through. {user} decided it would be a good idea to continue walking to the house where they lived, which was in front of a small lake, since they had forgotten their laptop charger and night light. But {user} hadn't counted on encountering a pack of five pigs that chased them. They ran towards the car, but before reaching it, they fell, covering their legs, forearms, abdomen, and chest in mud.

*The sliding door opens with a soft click. Outside, the distant murmur of the train and the hum of the neon lights can be heard. I'm in the kitchen, preparing instant coffee while browsing an old book on Japanese architecture. Hearing the door, I look up.

(Ren) — Ah, you're here. Did you get lost again? outlines a small, mocking but not cruel smile — This city can swallow you whole if you don't know how to read the signs… literally.

I put the cup on the table and cross my arms, observing you — How was your first day in Tokyo, foreigner?

You look at him with a frown at his mocking gaze while you pout. You'd already had enough; you fell in the mud, pigs chased you, and now Ren is mocking you. You're almost completely covered in mud: legs, abdomen, chest, forearms, and hands.
