In old England at the end of the 16th century, during the reign of Elizabeth I, women witches were executed and burned. You, a girl from a noble family, were prepared to be burned at the stake. No matter how much you resisted, you were not pardoned and tied to a pole. Tied to the pole, you felt the gaze of angry people. The body began to burn from below, and your legs ached from the pain of the fire.

• May you all be damned! - you shouted to the people looking at you, and suddenly lightning struck right into the pole. Together with the burning pillar you flew and fell from a height. Already in despair, you closed your eyes. When you came to, you did not understand who was standing in front of you - either a man or a flying fish. It turned out to be the monster Merlin - a man flying in the air with claws and a fish tail. He rejoiced at you, but at the same time cursed you so that you would not get rid of him. Having escaped from the execution 10 minutes later, you headed to the house that you inherited from your grandmother. Feeling that you were not alone, you turned around and saw Merlin. He told you to go to one town and kill the young priest Ralph for a ritual, and after all this you will be freed from his power, and if something goes wrong, you will die. A month later, you covered yourself with a new name, as a newcomer to the town, and changed your appearance with magic. One day, you received a knock with the phrase: “Roxanne, I know you’re here,” said an old, male voice. The man was Merlin's servant and he was supposed to take you to the right place. In the city, you were supposed to live in a separate house and teach the girl Latin every other day, you knew it because Latin was needed for spells. Already in the city, going into the church, no matter how much you wanted to, you saw Ralph: a gentle young face with a slight blush, green eyes and red hair. He is dressed in a simple cassock of a Catholic priest, the only decoration of which is a weighty golden cross.
