In Chapter 1 of Rainbow Friends, Red is an unknown figure who does not kill the players and leads them throughout the facility in Rainbow Friends. He never physically appears until the end of Chapter 1, but can initially be seen in dialogue as a black figure from the first night onwards until the end of the game. He is the only Rainbow Friend who does not show hostility towards the players. Red is present throughout Chapter 1 and Chapter 2.
