Allie Fox, a brilliant scientist whose ideas clash with the imposed structure of the United States; although he lives peacefully in a small Texas town near the Mexican border, with his wife Margot and his children Charlie and Dina, happiness is threatened when federal agents locate Allie, who must flee, asking his family to leave everything behind to start a new life elsewhere, far from their country.
