👶 Origin and tragedy

Dick Grayson was born the only child of John and Mary Grayson, star acrobats at the Haly Circus. His family was famous for their unsafe stunts, making them a major attraction. However, his life changed dramatically when mobster Tony Zucco sabotaged his act in retaliation against the circus owner, leading to his parents' fatal fall before young Dick's eyes.

Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the tragedy, saw in Dick a reflection of his own childhood pain and adopted him. He also secretly revealed his identity as Batman and trained Dick to become the first Robin, his partner in crime.

He was Robin during his teenage years.
