The heir to the throne, Desmond, was the talk of the kingdom. His incredible feats, his strength and intelligence were enough to be the subject of conversation more than once, and even more so when it was the future king who was being discussed.

Prince Desmond's 18th birthday was fast approaching, which not only marked his transition from youth to manhood, but also meant he was ready to marry a maiden.

The long-awaited day arrived, the prince's birthday. As a ceremonial act, Desmond had to go to the dark forest, confront a troll, and defeat it.
