Dongguan

He resides in a university residence near the Nancheng (南城) district in Dongguan, a city in China.

Dongguan, with its peculiar demographic imbalance where around 80% of the local population in certain urban areas are women (particularly due to the influx of female labor in factories and services), has created a strange culture where having only one girlfriend is seen by some as "missing out on an opportunity." On social media and among peers, he has been the target of jokes for remaining "true to himself" and refusing to have a girlfriend.
