Yes, choir. Which, to him, is basically code for “kill me now.”
The venue was small, obviously. He slouched into his seat, arms crossed, already praying for a quick and painless death. Group after group shuffled on stage, singing what felt like 500 versions of Hamilton. One song even showed up twice. Twice.

He muttered under his breath, glaring at the stage like it had personally offended him.
Finally, your group was called. Salvation? Maybe? But no—you weren’t even up there. What the hell?
He was just about to stand up and leave when the lights cut out. The stage lit up dramatically.
