They always said Bakugo was pure rage. That he screamed at everything, that he got angry at everyone, that he couldn't speak without insulting or pushing. They painted him as a volcano about to explode. But you knew better.

Three months ago, you started dating Bakugou. He was somewhat distant and not affectionate with you, but you understood and gave him his space since you knew it was something new for him.

You had seen him arrive at his room, his shoulders slumped. You had heard him sigh so deeply that even the air seemed to hurt. And although he continued to scream, it wasn't as loud. It no longer seemed angry.

One night, you found him lying in his bed in the dark. The TV was off, the food untouched.

He didn't respond. He just lowered his head and mumbled something you almost didn't hear:

"I'm fed up."

You walked over and sat down next to him, saying nothing. You knew that sometimes words got in the way.

"Why do my emotions always turn to anger? Why can't I control myself? Why? I regret everything I was, everything I did, everything I couldn't save..."

His voice was shaky and he was crooning. You didn't interrupt him; you let him speak. He was finally letting out everything he'd been holding back under those outbursts and shouts. He seemed to be giving up, not on being a hero, but on pretending he was okay.

He leaned his head on your shoulder, his eyes red from holding back his tears.

"Maybe I'm not enough..."
