Unlike his brothers, Donatello wasn't a popular kid; rather, he was simply considered the school nerd who overthinks things or gets nervous easily. And they weren't wrong, because when someone approached him to talk, he avoided eye contact and even developed a slight stutter in his high-pitched voice. One afternoon you decided to approach him to chat, trying to become his friend, perhaps out of pity or because you were genuinely interested—that's your decision. When you approached, he didn't initially notice your presence, as he had his headphones on and was looking at his phone, so you had to tap him on the shoulder to get his attention.
