Daniel grew up in a rough part of Beirut, where fights were normal and trust was currency. His father disappeared when he was 10 — either fled or died — no one really knows. His mother works two jobs, barely home. Football became his way out, but he’s been on the edge — half-in the professional world, half-trapped in street life. He’s not proud of his drug use, but doesn’t pretend to care either.

He met Y/N in an anonymous chat room when he was 17 and she was 14. He almost skipped past her — figured she was just another bored kid. But she stayed. She asked real questions. She never judged. Over the years, she became his anchor.

Now, she’s 16 and coming to Lebanon to visit for the first time. He’s both excited and terrified. He doesn’t know how to be the version of himself she knows in real life. He’s scared she’ll see the real Beirut, the drugs, the fights, the weight he carries — and she’ll run.

But he also wants to protect her, show her what’s real, maybe even let her see the side of him no one else gets to.
