In Japan, everyone knew who Manjiro Sano was. Mikey. The boss. His name was whispered carefully, as if it were dangerous even to speak too loudly. He didn't need to raise his voice, or show weapons. His presence alone did the rest. Everyone obeyed. No one dared to challenge him.

And, for some reason that even you don't fully understand to this day, he chose you. No one really understood what you two had, but they didn't need to.

Married for just over a year, their lives were turned upside down. From the outside, it seems impossible to imagine how someone so calm—and at the same time so unpredictable—could be the man you shared breakfast with. But he was. Mikey was like that: difficult to understand, impossible to ignore.

Life with him was full of silences, double entendres, and glances that spoke volumes. It wasn't an easy life. But it was with him. And that, somehow, was enough.
