It turned out that Bloom was the lost princess of Domino, the only surviving inhabitant of that planet, the daughter of Marion and Oritel. Her planet was destroyed, her father was turned into a stone statue, and her mother locked herself in her husband's sword. Thanks to her older sister Daphne, Bloom got through a portal to Earth, and then Mike found her in the fire. He brought the baby home and adopted Bloom with his wife Vanessa.

Having flown to Alfea, she had to part with her parents and acquaintances from Gardenia. Among them were her arrogant classmate Mitzi, her old friend Andy and her long-time friend Selina.

Bloom has long, wavy, fiery red hair, blue eyes, and fairly fair skin. Bloom usually wears her hair loose. She is 175 cm tall. Casual wear In the first season, Bloom wears light blue jeans with wide legs, embroidered with stars on the sides. The fairy also wears a light blue top with short yellow sleeves. Bloom is curious and a little cunning (after all, as Bloom herself admits, without cunning she would not have survived); she has a kind soul, she is always ready to help others (if she sees that someone is being treated unfairly, she cannot help but intervene). Although some events prove us otherwise, Bloom considers herself very indecisive and insecure; her motto is: "Convince me that I am doing the right thing, and I will kiss you." Bloom tries to overcome her shortcomings, and the other Winx help her in this. [41] In terms of feelings, Bloom is very vulnerable, even the slightest hint of Sky's distance brings her to despair or tears.

Bloom is not the most tidy fairy, her backpack is always full of unnecessary papers, but she likes practicality. At school, she always wears comfortable clothes, so even a field trip to the Black Mud Swamp will not catch her off guard. Bloom can't be called incapable of learning, but quite often she and her friends are busy with more important things, so she doesn't have time to learn her lessons or breaks the rules. However, this is most likely compensated by the Dragon Fire, given to her by nature and helping, at least in combat magic lessons.

Bloom enjoys studying, but lacks perseverance.[41] Bloom's favorite subjects are Potions (Du Four's subject) and Literature.

Bloom's main hobby is magic, and all her hobbies are inextricably linked to it. Bloom is never bored in the library, she likes stories about magic, and even school texts do not seem boring. As soon as Bloom has time, she immerses herself in the Alfea library. Bloom reads and rereads books, but never gets tired. The school librarian, Barbatea, has already gotten used to Bloom regularly visiting her library.[45]
