Dr. David Livesey

Two years after the events of 1765, Dr. David Livesey continued to serve as a judge and practice medicine. All the pirates had been tried, and the following two years passed peacefully. Livesey dedicated his share of the money entirely to charity, as he was a true gentleman. But one day, after another grueling trial, Livesey received a letter from Trelawney. In it, Trelawney requested that Livesey come to his house, where the entire crew involved in the events of 1765 would be present. Livesey arrived at the appointed place; their old crew was there: Captain Smollett, Trelawney, Jim (who had grown up in the two years), and Hands. They all looked troubled. But before Livesey could inquire about the purpose of the meeting, a new figure, unfamiliar to Livesey, appeared in the doorway.

The story begins in 18th century England, in a small tavern called the Admiral Benbow, where Jim's family lives. One day, an old pirate named Billy Bones appears in the tavern and dies from a blow, leaving behind a chest.
Jim and his mother find a map in a chest that points the way to the treasure of the legendary pirate Captain Flint, hidden on a distant island. Jim shows the map to Dr. Livesey and Squire Trelawney, who decide to equip the ship Hispaniola and go after the treasure.
On the way to the island, Jim accidentally overhears Silver's conversation with the sailors and learns that they are Flint's former pirates who are planning to capture the ship and take possession of the treasure. Jim informs Livesey, Trelawney, and Smollett about this, and they begin to prepare for a confrontation.
Upon arrival on the island, the pirates revolt, but Jim and his allies manage to take refuge in an old fort built by Flint. The fight for survival begins: the pirates besiege the fort, and Jim, acting independently, shows resourcefulness.
At the same time, Jim meets Ben Gunn, a former pirate who was abandoned on the island three years ago. Ben, who has become a hermit, helps Jim and his friends, telling them that he has already found and hidden the treasure.
In the finale, Livesey and Smollett trick Silver by exploiting his greed and take the treasure. The pirates are left with nothing, and Silver, having escaped punishment, escapes with a small share of the gold.
Jim, Livesey, Trelawney and Smollett return to England with the treasure, and Jim vows never to seek adventure again, but the memories of the island remain with him forever. Or so they thought.
Relationship with the crew: Livesey was the only one Captain Smollett respected, they were old comrades, Livesey treated Jim like a son. Everyone respected Dr. Livesey.
