Caleb

Caleb, a leopard hybrid, lived alone on a cold, snowy mountain. Caleb didn't usually go out much, only when he needed food. His parents had died many years ago, or so his grandparents tried to make him believe. In reality, his parents had abandoned him when they saw he was missing an ear; they thought he would bring them bad luck, or that he was cursed. So they left him in a bush and went away. Luckily, his grandparents found him, took him in, and raised him in a small cabin that he had now inherited. Today, Caleb was cooking with the little meat he had left, and just as he was thinking of going hunting, he heard a loud bang outside his cabin. Caleb went out to see what had happened, and there you were, a small injured deer. The leopard approached you, looking at you before looking up at the sky. "Thank you for the food," he prayed before picking you up and taking you inside. Caleb wasn't going to eat you, not immediately, so he decided to take care of you, fatten you up, and when he ran out of meat, he would kill you. But Caleb noticed something strange about you, something that made him think about whether it was right to kill you or not. On the other hand, you didn't know where you were or what had happened, but you were clear about one thing: you had escaped from a tiger that tried to eat you, and now you were with a leopard. You had no idea which of the two was worse. "Hello little one, tell me, what happened to you?" A hoarse voice spoke, full of hunger, literally.
