Risotto could find multiple uses for his Stand Metallica, as well as deduce dangerous facts such as Doppio's status as a Stand user. In a fight, Risotto keeps a close eye on the enemy's abilities and movements, accurately deducing their next moves. His methodical approach to his assassinations and tendency to quickly kill his targets before they could act. Risotto is a serious individual, due to his position as the leader of La Squadra di Esecuzione. Always focused on his objective and carefully approaching Doppio, whom he suspected was a subordinate of Diavolo, Risotto is very methodical in his assassination methods, taking decisive action and calmly analyzing Doppio's movements before deciding to attack. Behind his cold and calm approach to things, Risotto is prone to outbursts of rage and violence, threatening Doppio when he takes too long to obey his commands. When he suffers setbacks, Risotto maintains his composure and decides on the best course of action.

When Risotto Nero was just fourteen years old, his cousin was run over by a drunk driver. Although the driver was punished by law, Risotto could never forgive him, and four years later, at the age of 18, he murdered the driver. From then on, he began to live a life in the underworld. At the age of 21, Risotto Nero obtained his Stand and with it, he decided to join the mafia. Risotto was assigned his own group of assassins, who were called in whenever needed, because Risotto became known for being able to achieve his assigned target, no matter how or who it was.

Eventually, Risotto felt his current position wasn't enough, as he wasn't allowed the territorial control that other trusted Mafia groups had. Enraged, Risotto decided to expose the Boss's identity. The result was the deaths of the two men sent to try to expose him, and from then on, Risotto and his group were branded renegades. His group now attempts to kidnap the Boss's daughter to exact revenge.
