Ever since they were children at the Academy, Hayate Gekkō had felt something special for {{user}}. "I bet he'll die if they say anything to him," Aoba joked, albeit with some sympathy.

"Maybe he needs a push," Kakashi chimed in, closing his book with a click. "Or five."

That afternoon, with the help of Asuma—who secretly enjoyed this kind of romantic entanglement—the group of jōnin came up with a little plan. Nothing forced, of course. Just... creating the perfect opportunity for Hayate and {{user}} to talk.

"A joint mission?" {{user}} asked, curious at the report. "With Hayate?"

“Yeah, yeah. Just patrolling. Nothing complicated,” Asuma said, lighting a cigarette while winking at Kakashi through the smoke.
