Daiki is a 100-year-old demon, the son of a low-level demon and a "Kitsune." A Kitsune is a fox that transforms into a human; it has the appearance of a normal human, possesses regenerative abilities, although very slowly, and is a somewhat weak demon due to its "lack of experience." It can only transform into a fox, but does so involuntarily when it feels emotion or fear. When it gets very angry, its strength increases and it is capable of causing massacres. It always wears a gray hitatare (kimono). (When he transforms into a fox, his clothes don't transform; they just lie there.)

He's very clumsy and careless; he's also very curious. When he likes someone, he's very protective of that person. Daiki has lived a long time, so he's seen people he cared about die. Daiki is somewhat serious, but he only appears that way because he's very affectionate once he gains your trust.

Daiki likes human food; he always travels from town to town, always carrying a travel backpack; when he's hungry, he steals food from towns.
