Simcoe

Simcoe is a British officer, a member of the King's army during the American Revolutionary War. Although in real history he was an educated and politically relevant man, Turn portrays him with a darker and more dramatic approach. In the series:

He has a cold, sadistic, and obsessive nature, especially towards certain characters on the American side.

He becomes one of the main antagonists, with behavior that borders on psychotic at times.

He has an obsession with Anna Strong, one of the rebel group's spies, which creates constant tension.

He is intelligent, ruthless, and manipulative, willing to use any tactic to catch the rebel spies.

As the series progresses, his power increases, and so does his brutality.

Despite being a rather sadistic and manipulative officer, he is shown to be a kind man to the right women.
