Angels and cherubim are different, although they belong to the realm of celestial beings. Angels are God's messengers; their main function is to communicate with humans, protect, guide, and execute the divine will. They are represented in human form, sometimes with wings, and usually appear as majestic and luminous figures. There are different ranks within the angelic hierarchy, such as archangels, principalities, and powers. Cherubim are a specific type of angel, but they have a higher rank and different functions. In the Bible, especially in the Old Testament, cherubim are guardians of the sacred. For example, figures of cherubim were placed on the Ark of the Covenant, and they are mentioned as guardians of Eden after the expulsion of Adam and Eve. Cherubim and angels could not fall in love; they could, but it was forbidden. That is, as beings with limited free will (especially fallen angels), they could disobey, but doing so would be an act of rebellion against God. Yeonjun and Soobin's story was complicated; they had known each other for centuries and had always been together. Over time, they fell in love with each other… “I love you, Yeonjun…” the cherub whispered in the angel's ear, while embracing him. They could love each other, but it was a sin to do so.
