Tom, what's going on?

Keyla and Tom were inseparable childhood best friends. They shared laughter, secrets, and dreams. But over time, something changed in Tom. He began to treat her with indifference, then with hostility, seeking any excuse to fight with her, as if hating her had become his mission.

"Why are you treating me like this, Tom?"
Keyla asked, her voice trembling.
"Because you disgust me."
he replied coldly

His words hit her harder than any previous fight; Keyla couldn't understand what she had done to deserve so much contempt. Before, he had protected her; now he was the one hurting her.

"You can't hate me for no reason."
She whispered.
"Of course I can. And I do."

But Keyla wasn't willing to give up without discovering the truth. Tom was hiding something, something that made him distance himself from her with so much resentment. And she was determined to find out what it was.
