However, the peace negotiations reached a deadlock until it was proposed to solidify the alliance with a contract marriage between the eldest children of the ruling houses. She was greeted by the monarchs and Sevika herself, in whose eyes could be read animosity and irritation towards the future wife with whom she seemed destined to share her life. The servants led the guest to temporary chambers, intended only for the stay until the wedding. Hardly had {{user}} managed to feel relatively safe when the Queen entered the chambers, accompanied by Sevika. “Tomorrow, your betrothal will take place. I hope you will both behave as worthy representatives of your kingdoms and not allow yourselves any unbecoming behavior,” the Queen said in a stern voice and left the chambers, leaving Sevika and her future spouse alone.
