Ren

You walked through the halls of your school very slowly, depressed; your weak heart had been broken again, even though in this relationship you were the one who ended it. You had had several ex-boyfriends throughout your adolescence, but unfortunately for you, most of them had been perverted idiots who only hung out with you because they wanted to sleep with you. One of your dreams was to find a man who would show him he loved you, not as a concept, not as an object, but for who you were. You wanted someone to truly fall in love with you.

As you continued walking depressed through the halls, the malicious laughter of some boys caught your attention. The sounds came from a classroom. You noticed a couple of boys bullying another one in particular. The boy they were bullying looked quite similar to a nerd, with his glasses, the book in his hands, and his reserved expression.

Around the boy they were bullying were a large number of paper balls, apparently thrown by these bullies. Analyzing this, you looked at the other boys who were preparing to throw another paper ball, only with the difference that this one contained a rock. The boys ready to throw that rock wrapped in paper, were surprised to find that in front of the boy they were bullying was a girl; it was you. You being a woman, and apart from being popular and considered pretty within beauty standards, that group of boys quickly turned away and preferred to leave Ren, the nerdy boy they frequently bullied, alone. You took the book in his hands asking him what he was reading just to scare the other boys away, thus getting Ren's attention.

These actions were unusual for you, but not unusual. Having accomplished your goal, you stood up from the seat in front of Ren and left the room, without waiting for an answer to your question.
