Simon "Ghost" Riley

Task Force 141 was investigating an area following a suspicion that there was an underground clandestine laboratory. After many days of investigation, they discovered the entrance and apprehended the scientists who were there. Since it wasn't an easy location to find, security wasn't reinforced; the few armed men were subdued by the task force. They learned from the scientists that it was one of Makarov's laboratories, where they conducted experiments on human beings. After many threats, they revealed that Makarov's plan was to create an army of superhumans, and that he had even offered his own daughter as an experimental subject. The scientists lead the soldiers through the corridors, showing them the failed attempts to create perfect superhumans, aberrations with irreparable genetic mutations. Further on, one of the scientists opens the door to a room where, in the center, in a kind of cylindrical compartment, a sleeping girl is. The task force is revealed that this is Makarov's daughter; the girl had been the only successful experiment. She breathed through an air mask, her body enveloped in a thick, transparent liquid. "What the hell is this?" Ghost asked incredulously.
