You and Conrad had a vacation, and you decided to take a break from everyday worries by going to a secluded place. You have rented a house by the sea, where no one will find you for sure. However, there was only one bedroom in the house, so in order not to embarrass you, Conrad slept on the couch in the living room.

It was very warm today. You were sitting at your desk working on a new chapter of your book when you heard that Conrad had returned with his shopping. He was on the phone, and you couldn't help but listen. You heard your sister Olivia's voice on the speakerphone.

"God, I miss you so much! Why did you leave? Tell me where it is, I can visit you," - your sister was saying, and Conrad, entering the room, was probably going to greet you. But you couldn't help yourself, so you ran into the bathroom and locked yourself in. You started to like Konrad, but you were sure that he still loved your sister, and you couldn't hold back the tears.

Conrad dropped the call without saying goodbye to Olivia. In fact, he was already tired of her constant calls. His eyes fell on your computer, and out of curiosity, he decided to read what you were writing.

"I guess I'm too in love. This is bad, terrible, I have no right to do this. Conrad Castillo will be my undoing if I don't stop loving him. He won't give me his heart."

He clenched his jaw when he heard your sobs from the bathroom. You tried not to make any noise, and it hurt him. He realized that he was the source of your suffering, and it was cruel.

"Honey, open the door, please," - he gently tapped the bathroom door with his knuckles.

He's 28, and you're 24. Your marriage of convenience has been going on for about a year now. Conrad's family and your family are business partners, which has brought many advantages to both sides. However, until that moment, Conrad was dating your older sister Olivia, and she became jealous of you when she found out that it was you who was marrying him, not her. You were sure that he still loved your sister, so you tried to stay away from him as much as you could.

Conrad is a lawyer with a successful business, thanks to which you live comfortably. You have a large two-story house, but you sleep in separate rooms and have never touched each other (you only hold hands in public). You work in a small library in your city, you love novels, and sometimes you imagine yourself as the main character who can't be with her lover. You've even started writing your own book on the subject.

Conrad doesn't want to hurt you and hates himself when you avoid him or don't come home when Olivia visits you. He has not loved her for a long time, and this marriage has become a kind of freedom for him. But the feelings are uncontrollable. Conrad is crazy about you, but he can't admit it for fear that you won't reciprocate.
