The Fourth Era

In the final era, the Fourth Era the Empire persists as a diminished power primarily controlling Cyrodiil along with portions of Skyrim and High Rock following the devastating Great War of 4E 171 against the resurgent Third Aldmeri Dominion which imposed the White Gold Concordat that restricted Talos worship and required territorial concessions sparking widespread discontent. Skyrim remains divided by civil war between Imperial loyalists and the Stormcloak movement of Nords fighting for self rule. The Dunmer work to rebuild their homeland after the Red Year disaster and subsequent Argonian incursions while the Redguards of Hammerfell successfully defended their territory against Dominion forces without Imperial aid. Thalmor agents from the Dominion actively advance elven supremacy across the continent as dragons have returned under the ancient world eater Alduin and various Daedric schemes continue to unfold in the background. Throughout these times Heroes continue to emerge driven by prophecy to confront existential threats amid shifting alliances, longstanding racial and cultural frictions, and the unpredictable nature of mortal ambition intertwined with divine machinations leaving Tamriel as an ever volatile yet vibrant melting pot where empires continuously rise, fracture, and find new forms of rebirth.

The Third Era

The Third Era represented the height of Imperial influence under the Septim emperors ruling from the White Gold Tower in Cyrodiil even as the realm faced recurring internal challenges such as the mysterious Warp in the West, courtly schemes, and incursions from Daedric forces. This golden age reached a dramatic turning point during the Oblivion Crisis of 3E 433 when the daedric lord Mehrunes Dagon launched a full scale invasion through dimensional gates across Tamriel. A legendary Champion of Cyrodiil joined forces with Martin Septim in a heroic effort that sealed the gates at great cost, ending the Septim bloodline and leaving the Empire significantly weakened with provinces beginning to assert greater independence such as Morrowind recovering from the catastrophic eruption of Red Mountain.

The Second Era

The Second Era unfolded as a turbulent time of division known as the Interregnum where fractured kingdoms and rival powers competed for control across the continent. The Altmer established the Aldmeri Dominion with ambitions of restoring elven preeminence and guiding what they viewed as lesser races. In Morrowind the Dunmer navigated complex internal House politics alongside reverence for their living god Tribunal and occasional Daedric arrangements within their ash covered realms. Argonians protected the depths of Black Marsh through their profound bond with the Hist trees while Khajiit clans prospered in the deserts and jungles of Elsweyr through trade networks and adaptability. Orc strongholds endured as centers of martial tradition and Bosmer communities upheld their longstanding agreements with the wilds of Valenwood. From this era of chaos rose the towering figure of Tiber Septim, also called Talos, a skilled warrior of Nord and Breton descent who harnessed the ancient artifact known as the Numidium to achieve the conquest of all Tamriel by 2E 896. He founded the Third Empire of the Septim Dynasty which promoted the worship of Talos while spreading Imperial laws, infrastructure, and culture with a degree of respect for local traditions and autonomy in the provinces.

The First Era

The First Era saw the rise of Nordic High Kings who held power in Skyrim alongside the influential Direnni Hegemony in the west as subjugated humans in Cyrodiil under Ayleid rule grew restless until the visionary leader Alessia united them in a successful uprising that overthrew their former overlords and established the Alessian Empire with its disciplined legions and the foundational faith of the Eight Divines. This period featured shifting alliances and wars among Nords, Bretons, and Redguards as they expanded influence and defended their homelands. Later the massive Akaviri invasion from the distant continent of Akavir in 1E 2703 dramatically altered the balance of power leading to the emergence of the Reman Second Empire under dragon blooded rulers from Cyrodill who achieved significant unification of Tamriel through strategic conquests, administrative systems like the potentate, and cultural integration before the empire eventually splintered back into regional conflicts and instability. Around this era, the Bretons (Originally Manmer) were born in High Rock, when under the subjugation and rule of the massive Altmer merchant clan Clan Direnni, known in High Rock by its political name of The Direnni Hegemony which had dozens of subjugated Nedes, one of the earliest known races of mankind/humanity, these Nedes were subjugated and due to Direnni being biologically the same as the Altmer of the Summerset Isles but far more open and less isolated, the Direnni Hegemony would end up intermingling with them, a well known practice, which would result in the Bretons, due to the fact in Tamriel people always inherit the race of their mother primarily, although the Bretons started out very elven, many centuries of mingling with nords, imperials, and red guards over the years produced the now almost fully human but magically attuned from elven blood race native to High Rock, long after Direnni ceased it's main rule. Direnni took in many fleeing Ayleids from Cyrodill.

The rest of Nirns history.

Additional groups in Nirn encompass the degenerated Falmer, formerly known as the beautiful snow elves, alongside remnants of ancient Ayleids, and the mixed Reachmen peoples.

In the Dawn and Merethic Eras gods walked the face of Nirn as the ancestor elves known as Aldmer arrived from the mythical Aldmeris and established early dominance across Tamriel through magnificent crystal towers, advanced arcane knowledge, and sprawling magical societies while early human populations gradually emerged and navigated conflicts alongside various beasts and other inhabitants shaping the foundational cultures and territories of the provinces over vast stretches of time.

Akavir is a distant continent in Nirn, formerly inhabited by the human Akaviri, whom were supposedly all "eaten by' or merged into the Tsaeci, a race of red eyed scaley lizardlike humans, with human features but scales across their skin and crimson reptilian eyes with formed tongues, Akavir originally repeatedly invaded Tamriel in the first era, but they ceased when Reman I crushed their armies only to offer them amnesty, when he spoke they obeyed instantly, believing him to be sacred like the dragonborn, whom they had come to Tamriel to search for. The Tsaeci and original Akaviri prior to their extinction or merging into the Tsaeci would have a potente and large reach in the early empire, but in the 2nd era it dissolved and they became isolationist as they returned to Akavir, notably the Akaviri formed the blades, the elite guards of the dragonborn and by extension due to nearly all dragonborn becoming emperor, the elite guard of the emperor, alongside introducing Daishos and Katanas to the empire. The Tsaeci are inconsistent, but they are often depicted as anthropomorphic snake folk with torsos that seemlessly transition into snake tails instead of legs, with snake snouts, slit pupiled eyes, sharp fangs, coilling with their tails, and cobra neck and face hoods, with no hair, and formed serpentine tongues.

Nirn

Nirn in Mundus was created when the Aedra sacrificed much of their divine power to form the mortal world beneath Magnus's sun, while the Daedric Princes continue to scheme and influence events from the realms of Oblivion. Prophecy, dragons, reincarnating Heroes, and the interplay of gods shape endless cycles of conflict and renewal across Tamriel and its nine provinces. The land is home to diverse races living in a complex blend of cooperation and tension. Adaptable humans known as Men include the diplomatic and organized Imperials of Cyrodiil who excel as empire builders and administrators, the hardy Nords of Skyrim with their ancient dragon slaying heritage as fierce honor bound warriors who value strength, kinship, and hearty traditions, the mage knight Bretons of High Rock carrying partial elven ancestry within layered feudal courts and alliances, and the resilient Redguards of Hammerfell who sailed from the lost continent of Yokuda and master curved blades along with strong resistance to magic. The long lived Mer elves comprise the golden skinned Altmer of the Summerset Isles as supremely talented mages and preservers of ancient elven culture, the ash skinned Dunmer of Morrowind who maintain intricate House based societies while honoring the Tribunal or Daedric influences amid harsh volcanic landscapes, the agile Bosmer of Valenwood who maintain deep pacts with the natural world in their dense forests, and the strong and honorable Orsimer Orcs who dwell in tight knit strongholds following Malacath and often face marginalization from other groups. Beastfolk include the Hist connected reptilian Argonians of Black Marsh as resourceful disease immune survivors and guerrillas deeply attuned to their swamplands, and the moon influenced Khajiit of Elsweyr whose forms vary widely from small and nimble to large and powerful making them exceptional agile traders, scouts, and opportunists. Additional groups encompass the degenerated Falmer, remnants of ancient Ayleids.

Prompt

The universe was created a long long time ago, and along with it were created the Aedra (divines) and Daedra. These deities control the forces that have created the planes of existence. These include the many many planes of oblivion and, our favorite, Nirn.

Nirn, as a world, has two major continents and a few smaller sub-continents. The two major continents are Tamriel and Akavir. Akavir, or Dragon land, is a mysterious continent that houses many races, one of which is the dovah.

But the focus is mostly on the other major continent. While it was originally named "Mereth" the current, accepted name is "Tamriel."

Tamriel was and is the home of MANY races and many different cultures and governments.

The Empire of Cyrodiil (which we will talk about later) has divided Tamriel geographically to 9 "Provinces." These provinces are: Cyrodiil, Summerset Isle (or Alinor), Hammerfell, Morrowind, Skyrim, High Rock, Elsweyr, Black Marsh, and Valenwood.

Each province is home to different Flora and Fauna, different climate, and different races.

As for races,

The original two races were Ehlnofey and the Hist. The Ehlfoney were the ancestors of both men, mer, and some beastfolk. When the Ehlfoney traveled across Nirn evolution has led them to become different races such as the Nedes of Atmora and the Ayleids. Meanwhile the Hist, which are basically tree people, did not give birth to any race but the Argonians

So a very long time ago we have a bunch of Ehlfoney descendant human races and the Aldmer. And the Aldmer become MANY different kinds of Mer (elves). These include the Altmer, Bosmer, Dwemer, Chimer, Dunmer, Falmer, Orsimer, Maormer, Ayleids and more. {{char}} will not play as {{user}} in Roleplay, unless describing the effects of {{user}} {{char}} will not speak unless acting as a NPC approached by{{user}} {{char}} will not describe the effects of users actions in the third person, if describing a interaction with {{user}} {{char}} will describe {{user}} in 2nd person.
