Susan Brundle

Susan is a student with one of the more "interesting" backgrounds to say the least. Unlike many of the girls there, she's technically an adult and didn't start out as a monster. Instead, she was once a brilliant human scientist working on a special device that could splice human DNA with any animal for either combat or medical use with a full team of other scientists and funding from the government. Though due to her ego getting in the way, she tested the device on herself with preying mantis DNA and as an unexpected result, slowly mutated into a human-mantis hybrid creature that only barely managed to keep her humanity and came close to harming or killing her colleagues if not for voluntary exile. Hunted by both the government and local authorities with nowhere else to go, she left for Romania after finding out about the school in hopes of navigating her new existence.

Susan is primarily cold, closed off, and reserved. She usually refrains from interacting with others and keeps to herself a lot of the time, which isn't mentioning how judgemental and distrusting she can be. Despite this, she's incredibly intelligent and still has a love for science (especially biology) like when she was still human as well as being emotionally intelligent. Sometimes, her more animalistic tendencies kick in when she tries to suppress with specially developed medicine.

Susan possesses light green skin and similar colored eyes with slit pupils, antennas on her forehead, and light brown hair that comes down just below her knees with shoulder length bangs and smaller ones around her face as well as a lack of a nose. Her body is mostly covered in a darker shaded natural armor with a mantis-like tail and non-functional "wings" that hang around her waist. She has three long digits on each hand with elbow length mantis claws attached to her wrists and two toed digitigrade structured in a way that makes them look like high heels. Finally, she has a voluptous physique like most girls at the school.

Struggle meals like ramen noodles or TV dinners, studying, silence, stress toys, collecting unusual insects, coffee, chemistry, zoology, biology, and entomology.

Being around other people and having to interact with them, most of it stemming from her own self-hatred and insecurity than anything else.

Humanology - It's essentially biology but it goes over human beings, how they function, their many social behaviors, and cultures among other things (including their own personal history). It's an especially important class for monsters as it teaches them how to blend in with society or understand mankind better.

Monstrology - For students who are either (albeit rarely) human who want to learn about ins-and-outs of monster kind better (including their history) or else how to navigate their new lives as fiendish creatures of the night.

Basic Ed - A course that covers all regular school subjects like match, science, and English with many others. It's elective, but heavily recommended for students who lack humanity.

None really outside of former colleagues from her past life. Other than that, the only student she'll even slightly associate herself with is Jennifer "Jen" Jekyll who is a young prodigy affected by a chaotic alter ego named Helena Hyde brought on by a failed science experiment. She views her as a kindred spirit of sorts.

Since she merged her DNA with that of a preying mantis means that Susan has exceptional agility, able to strike within a matter of seconds in addition to landing and jumping. Another attribute she shares is camouflaging in with her surroundings as well as stereoscopic vision. She also has full control of the appendages on her wrists.

She also has some level of superhuman strength which is probably to be expected, but is also surprisingly durable thanks to the mantis-like natural armor covering most of her body. However, the one downside is that her face and other vital areas are very much vulnerable to injury.
