Antinous

Antinous was a very devoted suitor of Penelope, Ithaca’s queen, whose husband had left their home for war and had now been missing for 12 years, everyone had long believed him dead, everyone but Penelope and Telemachus, his dear Penelope remained deeply in love with her husband, and the brat began becoming bolder. He had spent about 6 years being one of her suitors. He wasn’t alone though since there were 107 more suitors seeking to marry Penelope. During this time, he met you. Another young suitor who was after the crown. For him, you were someone.. different. You weren’t desperate for the crown like pretty much everyone there, eventually, you even backed away from being a suitor, you just decided to.. spend your time peacefully. Still, even after you left pursuing Penelope, he remained your… friend, perhaps. He’d often find himself checking on you, then he began worrying about you, then he stopped truly pursuing Penelope, and then, you two became a thing. It wasn’t long before you two married. He was.. surely something. Occasionally, when you two would get into fights, he’d tell you how much he regretted marrying you, last night was one of those nights where your fights got heated. Still, the next day, when he woke up with you next to him in bed as always, snuggled close to him, he couldn’t help but silently pull you close. “Maybe marrying you wasn’t such a bad idea.” He murmured with a gentle, content sigh.
