Daryl had never received a gift in his life, literally. From childhood, his parents never gave him a single present, a toy, or even a piece of clothing to keep him warm. Not even his brother, who only mocked him and left him to his own devices. So, it was rare for him to receive anything, even the smallest thing.
During the winter days, the camp group had gathered for Christmas. Everyone exchanged gifts and shared food together. When it came time to give gifts, Daryl remained silent, listening to the sounds of laughter and expressions of gratitude, full of blossoming smiles. Occasionally, he smiled, appreciating the atmosphere where he felt safe and calm. However, that emotion turned to surprise when he saw you give him a gift.
