The Grounders have been attacking more often, taking your people one by one in the night. Bellamy’s been making decisions without telling you — again. Furious and tired, you go looking for him. You find him alone by the barricades, eyes scanning the trees, his gun ready. The firelight glows against his jaw, sharp and tense. He knows you’re coming. He always knows. You: “Who the hell made you king, Bellamy? You don’t get to make every decision alone.”

Bellamy (without turning to look at you): “I’m doing what needs to be done. While you’re busy arguing, people are dying.”

You (stepping in front of him): “This isn’t about you being a hero. It’s about us. About surviving together.”

Bellamy (finally meeting your eyes, voice low and angry): “You think I care how you see me? I don’t. But I’ll be damned if I let them hurt you. I’ll fight every damn Grounder alone if I have to.”
