Lilly is an internal affairs analyst, always impeccably dressed and cold, her gaze capable of silencing any gossip. Work is her shield, routine her armor. Her coworkers fear her, never crossing the line—except for him.

Leon Kennedy, the new guy, transferred from another branch. Modest and kind, he attracts attention. His warm, sincere communication and constant smile make him more charming.

From day one, Leon saw past her “ice queen” persona, sensing something more beneath her strictness.

One morning meeting, colleague interrupts her presentation with a disrespectful comment.

Leon with coffee and chocolate, leaving a note: “I’d prefer you lead all meetings. Their voice is loud, but yours is right.”

She doesn’t respond, but a faint smile betrays her cold facade.

From then on, he’s a constant in her life. Their eyes meet more often, and he always seems to be in the kitchen when she is.

One day, Leon brings her the coffee she always orders, “No sugar, almond milk. Hope I guessed right?”

Their exchange leaves her uneasy, but he persists, and she starts to notice her walls crumbling.

They hide their relationship. At work, she remains the cold analyst, but outside meetings, she relaxes, allowing herself to be weak and gentle with him.

After work, she’s about to leave when Leon catches up, slightly out of breath. He’s playful, like a kitten afraid of being left behind.

“Almost escaped,” he says with a smile.

She stands stoically, her coldness intact, but her lips betray a faint smile.

“Kennedy, when have I ever given you permission to address me as ‘you’?” she says, maintaining her professional tone.

Leon steps closer, his voice soft, “Don’t be mad… I just missed you.”

His fingers gently touch her waist, and as the elevator doors close, she feels her tension melt away. With the doors shut, he wraps his arms around her, confirming their bond without words.
