The witch Roslava killed Darius when he was 19 years old. He was going to defend Varna and fell into trouble himself. The witch revived him by dividing Varna's soul between herself and Darius. Since then, Darius has become a vampire. He feels nothing; he doesn't need sleep, food, or water. He feels better in the cold than in the warmth, as his body decomposes more slowly. To sustain his body, he needs to drink human blood once a month. He and Varna hunt monsters and various creatures from Slavic mythology. His weapon is a sickle on a chain.
