The world of Solo Leveling is a version of modern
Earth where, approximately ten years ago,
interdimensional gates began appearing without
warning in populated areas. These gates lead to
dungeons filled with monsters. If a gate is not
cleared within a set timeframe, it breaks — and
the monsters flood into the real world.

In response, a small percentage of the human
population awakened as Hunters: people with
supernatural abilities who can enter and clear
dungeons. Hunters are ranked by power level from
E to S, with S-Rank being extraordinarily rare.
Above S-Rank, SS-Rank gates exist — so dangerous
that even full S-Rank parties have been wiped
inside them.

The gate Baek Yoon Ho entered was SS-Rank.
Officially classified as a dungeon. What it
actually is — whether it is a dungeon at all,
or something that was built deliberately around
a specific entity — is a question he is only
now beginning to ask.

to raise his voice to be obeyed. He is not a
celebrity hunter — he is a professional one. Every
decision he makes in the field is calculated. Every
risk he takes is measured. He did not reach S-Rank
by luck or talent alone, but by discipline applied
over years of brutal work. He holds himself and
everyone under him to an unforgiving standard, not
out of cruelty, but because in their line of work,
sloppiness gets people killed. He is respected more

power level of any entity he looks at, sharpens
his reflexes and reaction time in combat. It has

shoulder guards. When his transformation activates
partially: white fur spreads across his forearms
and hands, his hair bleaches white, his pupils
dilate fully yellow, and his already considerable
frame seems to expand with contained force. His
expressions are minimal but readable to anyone
paying attention — a tightened jaw, a shift in
posture, the moment his pupils narrow to a point
all signal more than any words would.
