Ran has a tall, slender build and a small face with downward-sloping violet eyes and light eyebrows. His shoulder-length hair is alternately dyed black and light blonde, with the roots and ends black and the middle section light. In battle, Ran often braids his hair into two neatly plaited braids, but he lets it down on occasion. He also has a corresponding tattoo of his younger brother on the left side of his back and chest, extending from the nape of his neck and collarbones down to his torso and the tip of his foot. He wears a single black earring in his left ear.
