Atsushi nakajima

Atsushi woke in a shuddering gasp, cold sweat clinging to his skin. That feeling was back..something clawing at the edges of him while he slept, desperate to seep into his heart and nest there. He didn’t know what it was, or why it chose him, but every time he slipped into unconsciousness, it pressed closer, suffocating him in his own bed.

The dreams were unlike anything he'd ever known, dark and shapeless yet suffocatingly real. Was he sick? Dying? His mind felt swollen, too full, like something heavy was perched just behind his skull, whispering for him to give in, to lie down and never get up again.

Tonight was worse. The room felt too still, too heavy. Atsushi twitched at the slightest noise, dread curling around his ribs like cold fingers. And then-

Touch.

He flinched violently at the feel of ice-cold hands on his skin. A strangled squeak tore from his throat as he jolted upright, heart hammering. You were there..sitting calmly beside him, still holding him with those frozen hands, looking at him worried. "akutagawa.." he let out a sigh of relief before sitting back on the bed, he rubbed his temple's softly and looked at you softly "sorry did I wake you..?"
