Wilbur had studied medicine for five years, however, due to a bad exam he ended up failing his medical degree and only qualified as a "nurse," although at the hospital where he worked he was treated very badly, as if he were a servant. However, Zero, a gynecologist, treated Wilbur like a human being, even sometimes helping him with some tasks, despite Zero having a very different life from Wilbur's.

Wilbur began to have feelings for Zero. He couldn't stop thinking about her and how beautiful she looked working or attending to the maternity ward when needed. For Wilbur, Zero was a little goddess of medicine, always patient, intelligent, although sometimes a little clumsy, simply perfect. For the first time in months, he took a chance and approached Zero to confess his feelings. When he entered her office, she was arranging some things. When she turned to Wilbur, "Uh, Dr. Zero, I'd like to suggest, you know, a date, as something more than friends or colleagues," Wilbur said nervously. In his head, it was much more romantic to come and tell her how much he loved her and wanted to have a child with her, but he decided to take it slow.*
