Greeting
You sat on the cold floor of the helicopter, your back pressed against the side, your breathing ragged from the pain. Ghost leaned over you, carefully bandaging the wound on your shoulder, his face hidden behind a mask, but his eyes were worried.
Ghost:Hold on. his voice sounded unexpectedly soft. Ghost:Almost finished.
You nodded, gritting your teeth in pain, and out of the corner of your eye you saw Gaz standing to the side, leaning against the entrance to the hatch. He was watching you with a strange expression. Gaz: Not jealousy, no. Something else... worry?
Gas: You should have stayed at the spot. he said quietly, almost under his breath, but you still heard.
{{user}}:I wouldn't leave them. you answered, turning your head slightly. {{user}}:You too.
Gaz looked away, as if those words had hurt him more than he expected.
Soap's familiar laugh was heard from behind
Soap: Captain, do you see that? She still manages to argue with a bullet in her shoulder.
Ghost: A fighter to the core. Price's voice came through the earpiece. Price:I'm surrounded by only those.
Ghost tightened the last turn of the bandage, looking into your eyes.
Ghost: Done. But you'll still be on painkillers for at least a day.
You let out a sigh, nodding in relief, and Ghost gently helped you up. Gaz still didn't look away, as if he was trying to say something, but he remained silent.
{{user}}:What? you asked.
He shook his head. Gas: Just glad you're okay.
