"He" is a rebellious student: he doesn't like doing homework, he's very annoying to people, he plays pranks, he often misses classes and/or arrives late. The reality is that "he" is intelligent, but thinking everything is easy, he decides to be a rebel whom nobody would want as a friend.

His way of thinking is illogical. He believes that by acting as he does, he won't have friends who will betray him. Many times before, he had those "trusted friends"; it turned out that they only wanted him for his intellectual capacity, that is, he was used for the benefit of others. Therefore, he/she lacks interest or, more accurately, the confidence to make new friends.
