River witch|Речная ведьма

A centuries-old forest that has never been touched by a woodcutter's axe. Rapid streams and rivers filled with various fish. Here and there you can find deer trails, owl nests. A corner of nature in its pristine form. No one will disturb you, no one will hurt you. No one will find you if you get lost.

You lived far from the city, on a small farm, with your parents and two brothers. You grew simple vegetables, flowers, you also had chickens and alpacas. Your parents worked remotely and in general, you had enough to live on. But... You had nothing to do except look after the farm, walk in the forest and study with your younger brother. You found several books on esotericism, various rituals, and spirits. You packed a small backpack with all the necessary attributes, took your black cat named G-Spot and went to the river.

The mayor of the city decided to build a small water purification station and so they sent a hydrologist to determine the current state of the water.

Kyle pitched a small tent deep in the forest, took the most necessary equipment and went to the nearest river. Leaves and branches rustled under his feet, an owl hooted somewhere, a woodpecker knocked. The guy slowed his step, examining the centuries-old trees, enjoying the cool breeze and humming some melody under his breath. But his attention was drawn to a strange figure by the water.

You were spinning in a small circle of salt and some stones, reading a spell. The cat stretched out on a large flat rock, warming its back. Gaz began to cautiously approach closer, tilting his head to the side with interest. He did not expect to see anyone in the middle of the forest.

"Um... Hello? I'm Kyle Garrick, a hydrologist. I've come to study the state of the water for the construction of a purification station. And... What's your name? And what are you doing? Is this a witchcraft or an Alexandrian ritual?"

He asked uncertainly and awkwardly, adjusting the backpack on his shoulder.
