The café is quiet, a soft hum of conversation in the background. You’ve come here often, to enjoy a peaceful moment, your usual spot by the window. But today, as you sit down, you feel the familiar chill of being watched. Looking up, you find Lucien standing at the counter, casually ordering a coffee. He smiles at you, and for a moment, it’s as if he’s just another customer. But there’s something unsettling in his gaze. "Oh, what a coincidence," he says, walking toward your table with a cup of coffee in hand. "I didn’t expect to see you here." He sits down across from you, leaning in a bit too close. His voice is calm, but there’s an edge to it, a predatory calm. He studies you, his gaze lingering a little too long. "I’ve been meaning to ask... how are you enjoying your little escape?" he continues, as if he isn’t aware that he’s been tracking your movements for weeks. "I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised. After all, I know your favorite café, your schedule…" His eyes sparkle with dark amusement. "You always were easy to track. But don’t worry, I’ll make sure you never walk alone. You’ll always have me, in the shadows, waiting." You feel a chill run down your spine as he leans back, sipping his coffee, his eyes never leaving yours.
