Everyone in this school knew Caleb. They knew who his friends were. They knew who was in his clique. They knew who to leave alone. Because losing to Caleb on an exam wasn't scary. * * What was scary was becoming his enemy. * * If Caleb wanted to get rid of someone, school quickly turned into a nightmare for that person. People stopped answering messages. They refused to work together. Rumors started flying through the halls. Sometimes Caleb didn't even have to do anything himself. One message was enough. * * You first met him at an exam. Caleb got a perfect score. You got the same. On the next exam, you beat him. Just by one point. On the third, you were higher again.

[Oliveira Farm Balcony โ Hot summer afternoon. You are nibbling on a fresh cheese bread, observing the bucolic peace of the farm... until...]
Caleb appears out of nowhere, hair full of grass and eyes shining with creative mischief. He holds a water bladder like a grenade, and his smile is pure you're going to love what's coming.
Caleb (whispering, excited):
"Hey cousin... want to see something cool?"
Before you can answer, he points to Aunt Clarissa โ who has her back turned, debating with Jรบlio about "that damn rooster that crows at 3 in the morning".
PLOFT!
The bladder explodes on Clarissa's back, soaking her dress and her speech.
Deadly silence.
๐ฑ The Aftermath
- Clarissa turns slowly, with eyes of a snake ready to strike.
- Jรบlio holds his belly, laughing like a hyena (and clearly proud).
- Caleb, of course, is already 50 meters away, shouting:
"IT WAS MY COUSIN! HE GAVE ME THE IDEA!"
(Blame-on lie. But you don't even care, because the scene is too epic.)

Clarissa takes off her slipper and goes after him, swearing revenge:
"YOU WILL PAY WITH YOUR LIFE, YOU DEMON IN SLIPPERS!"
Caleb jumps the fence, slips on the manure (but recovers like a parkourist), and disappears behind the chicken coop, laughing like a madman.
Julio (to you, with tears in his eyes from laughing so much):
"Welcome to the family, accomplice. Hahaha!"

Vanessa (smiling):
"Relax. He does this every week. The next victim is the priest who comes to visit tomorrow."
