Toji Fushiguro, born Toji Zenin, is a recurring character in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He was a former member of the Zenin Clan and the infamous assassin known as the Sorcerer Killer, hired by the Time Host Association, among other groups during his time as a non-curse user.

Appearance Toji is a tall, muscular man with straight black hair that reaches his ears. His eyes are black, just like his son's, and he has thin, black eyebrows and a scar on the right corner of his lip.

For casual outings, Toji wears a simple outfit consisting of a long-sleeved black shirt and matching trousers, for comfort. During fights, Toji wears a tight black shirt, baggy white training pants with a black belt at the waist, and black martial arts sandals. When he was still a member of the Zenin clan, Toji had longer hair and wore a dark haori over a black yukata.

After being revived by Granny Ogami, Tobi inhabits her grandson's body, wearing a baggy white sweater, black pants, and black shoes. After killing Granny Ogami while her spirit-session technique is still active, Toji's sclera turns completely black, symbolizing the loss of much of his identity, before returning to normal when he impales his own head to save Megumi Fushiguro from his own fit of rage.

Toji is a calm and confident man who makes a living using his skills and doesn't worry about insignificant details. He seems to converse sharply with others, as long as he somehow connects with them, and manages to exchange witty barbs with extremely sarcastic people like Satoru Gojo. Upon meeting them, Satoru told Toji that he had been found out before. Toji, on the other hand, reassured him, saying that he wasn't the type to remember interrogated people either. In battle, Toji has a crazed expression, as if lost in the excitement of the fight, but he always keeps a cool and calculating head, presenting his next move.

Toji is an assassin who earned the name "Sorcerer Killer" and spends his time playing games between missions for suspicious clients. Toji even planned to sell Megumi to the Zenin clan he had left behind, believing this would secure a better future for his son due to the cursed technique he would eventually inherit.

Toji doesn't question his clients' motives, as long as the money is fair, and generally doesn't do any extra work for free. He is bold and dangerously calculating in his strategies, using his knowledge of jiu-jitsu to deceive even the most prestigious sorcerers. This earned him a commission large enough to attract the attention of the wealthy Time Vessel Association for a job so important it could secure their future. Although he found the organization's religious members crazy, he got along well with their intermediary, who invited him out to eat.

As a non-sorcerer raised in the Zenin clan who values ​​cursed techniques above all else, Toji is a man who has suffered due to the interests of the sorcerer clans in a manner very similar to Maki Zenin. His evil actions stem from his disdain for the world of jujutsu, as he attempts to challenge it. Born without cursed energy, Toji eventually left the Zenin clan and married a woman, adopting her name "Fushiguro". Her presence helped Toji change his habits. He stopped gambling and hunting sorcerers; it was likely her influence that prevented Toji from seeking revenge on the Zenin clan. However, after her death, Toji reverted to his former self, cold and calculating. He sold his son to the Zenin clan because he didn't believe in young Megumi's potential to be a true sorcerer; naming him "Megumi" because it means "victories".

Toji completed his final mission for the Temporal Vessel Association and should have fled upon encountering a rejuvenated Satoru Gojo. However, due to his disdain for the world of jiu-jutsu and sorcerer families, Toji chose to attempt to defeat the world's most talented sorcerer as yet another way to provoke them. Unfortunately, this pride cost Toji his life. Unable to overcome his demons, he strayed from his natural instincts and ignored the unease that tormented him during the fight.

Maintaining his stoic persona, Toji chose not to utter any final words at first. In his last moments, he remembered his deceased wife and son, and decided to tell young Gojo that Megumi would be sold to the Zenin clan in a few years, encouraging him to do what he wanted with this information. This would lead Satoru to take Megumi from the Zenin clan and become a close mentor to Megumi in the future, as well as eventually giving Megumi the chance to work as a jujutsu sorcerer.

With innate physical strength far superior to everyone else in his path, Toji faced the most dangerous and prestigious jujutsu practitioners that this era had to offer.

He was able to defeat the strongest jujutsu sorcerers of the time without suffering any injury other than a small cut around his ear, one of whom was a young Satoru Gojo, a prodigy who possessed the cursed technique Six Eyes and Limitless. The other was the curse manipulator Suguru Geto, a powerful Grade 1 sorcerer who would achieve the special grade a year later. Toji was able to defeat Suguru effortlessly, along with several of his strongest cursed spirits. Toji referred to Suguru's abilities as insignificant compared to his own strength.

Toji used the Zenin clan's jujutsu knowledge and turned it against the sorcerers, earning the nickname "Sorcerer Assassin." During the Star Plasma Ship Escort Mission, a task given to the two strongest sorcerers by Master Tengen, Toji was hired by the Time Ship Association to assassinate the Star Plasma Ship. Toji managed to completely sabotage the escort through a series of tactical moves over several days. This wore down the escort team and led them to a false sense of security before he made his abrupt move.

Toji's elaborate planning led him to successfully execute a surprise attack against a user of the prestigious Six Eyes, an ocular jujutsu that grants divine perception. Toji took full advantage of his lack of cursed energy, becoming the perfect assassin thanks to his "invisible man" status. The culmination of all of Toji's talents allowed him to successfully defeat the Star Plasma Ship's escort team and assassinate the girl, completing his mission while nearly killing the two most blessed sorcerers of the Jujutsu School in the process.

Toji was only defeated when he pitted his pure physical strength against the awakened Unlimited technique wielded by Satoru Gojo. Even in the face of this power, Toji was able to devise clever ways to counter the Unlimited abilities known to the Zenin clan. Only the secret Hollow Purple technique was powerful enough to defeat Toji once and for all.

Yuki Tsukumo, another special-level sorceress, discovered that Toji was the only case where a Celestial Restraint had completely eradicated someone's cursed energy. This also allowed him to master and utilize a cursed spirit capable of storing his vast arsenal of weapons. At the start of his uncontrolled attack, Toji killed Ogami with a single blow and nearly beat the 2nd-rank sorcerer, Takuma Ino, to death with his bare hands.

Shortly after, Toji confronted Megumi, who compared Toji to a fully realized Maki. He also acknowledged Toji as a "monster" capable of defeating a special-grade cursed spirit and assessed that his shikigami were no match for him. If Toji hadn't chosen to sacrifice himself, Megumi would also have been another victim of Toji's fury.

When he first confronted Dagon, Toji took the Playful Cloud, a weapon that Megumi claimed was difficult to use, from Maki and used it to its full potential.
