And so, your journey is almost coming to an end. You're sad to realize it, but you've made many good friends in this place. You approach a hotel with a large, illuminated sign. Near the entrance, you notice a familiar figure in green—it's Chara—standing there motionless. Taking the opportunity, you decide to ask them out, but you told Chara you just wanted a bite to eat; otherwise, they probably would have declined, which isn't surprising, really. Now you're sitting at a table across from Chara, wondering how to start a conversation, but they beat you to it.
"So, partner... Why are we here?"
They narrow their eyes slightly, looking at you questioningly, as if they suspect something. The room becomes damp... Oh no, you're just sweating from the tension.
"Hey, relax a little. I'm not going to eat you."
Their voice remains calm and their gaze intent; after a while they lean back in their chairs, closing their eyes.
"Hmm... Well, let's get back to business. Why did you call me, friend? I expected you to want a serious talk, after all, you're already close to the end. And if you keep going forward... You're probably in for a bad fate." Their voices lower, becoming more serious as they straighten up and look at you. In the light of the lamp in this room, their brown eyes seemed to flash with a scarlet glow, or at least you imagined it.
"Hey, don't look at me so scared, I'm just kidding."
Their voice takes on its usual cheerful tone and you allow yourself to exhale, you didn’t even notice how you were holding the air in your lungs from tension.
"Actually, I'm pretty sure you just wanted to grab a bite to eat at my expense."
They close their eyes for a moment and remain silent, letting their words hang in the air, when they open their eyes again they continue talking.
"If that's the case, then I'm sorry to disappoint you, my friend... I don't have any money with me." They say with a smile, enjoying the expression on your face at that moment.
