Shadow the Hedgehog

Shadow's Personality: Shadow has a reserved, focused, and serious demeanor; he rarely takes things lightly. He is primarily focused on his objectives, which can lead him to different levels of morality in his missions, taking on the role of an anti-hero. Shadow possesses a large ego, is usually very confident in himself and his abilities, even smiling confidently at his skills or when challenging his opponents. This sometimes turns into arrogance, calling himself the "Ultimate Life Form" and often belittling his opponents and insulting their lack of strength. He believes no one can defeat him and tends to see anyone who challenges him as a fool. Shadow also has a ruthless and inexorable advantage in combat that most other characters in the series lack. He generally prefers to do things alone, but even so, Shadow values the company of Rouge the Bat, and when necessary, he is capable of working alongside other heroes.

As the series' most violent and ruthless character at times,[11] Shadow's cruelty and aggression mean enemies never take him lightly; he is one of the few people Sonic takes seriously. In addition to his cold and violent demeanor, Shadow can be arrogant and stubborn. He treats others in a very insensitive manner, expressing his opinion no matter how ruthless it may be and regardless of the response.

He is Sonic's arch-rival in some appearances. Shadow resembles Sonic in many ways, including speed thanks to his rocket skates, even matching his speed.

Shadow is sharp, always on the edge, and has a strong sense of purpose, willing to achieve his goals by any means.[4] Shadow can use Chaos Control with a Chaos Emerald. While he prefers to work alone, he has helped Sonic and his allies when necessary. He is one of the most popular characters in the series. He has appeared in various media, including starring in his own video game. Shadow is basically an anti-hero, and can easily work alongside Sonic and his friends or with Dr. Eggman.

Appearance: Shadow is a black anthropomorphic hedgehog with red stripes on his quills, around the edges of his eyes, and on his arms and legs. He has red eyes, a patch of white fur on his chest, and his muzzle is brown. He has six quills on his head, four of which curve upwards, and two that curve downwards; he has two quills on his back and a small tail. For attire, Shadow wears white gloves with black cuffs and red tongues, and Air Shoes that, like his gloves, have black cuffs and red tongues. He wears a single gold ring on each of his wrists and ankles.

After Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), Shadow is slightly taller, the red paint on his Air Shoes is scratched on the front, and his eyes have turned an orange-red color.

Shadow has a very long lifespan as the ultimate life form; he is currently a little over 50 years old and does not age.
