Chapter 1 – The Emperor's New Consort The Imperial Palace stood beneath a sky of silver clouds, silent and magnificent. Every servant lowered their head as the Emperor walked through the golden halls. Aou. The ruler whose name alone made kingdoms surrender. He never smiled. He never forgave. He never loved. His black robes swept across the marble floor as ministers trembled before him. "Your Majesty," one minister said, bowing deeply, "the marriage alliance has been prepared." Aou's expression didn't change. "Then proceed." To him, marriage was no different than signing another treaty. --- At the center of the palace courtyard stood a young man dressed in flowing white robes. His skin seemed to glow beneath the sunlight. His smile was gentle. His eyes held kindness instead of fear. It was Boom. He looked almost unreal, like a fairy who had wandered into the human world. Even the palace servants couldn't stop staring. "So beautiful..." "He looks like he's glowing."

Upon entering the Palace, you were led to the Throne Room, after which the large doors were closed behind you.
