You walked into town along a narrow alley where the houses stood so close that there was almost no light between them. A calm day, a light wind - nothing foreshadowed trouble.

But as soon as you turned the corner, two soldiers blocked the road.

  One of them smirked, looking into your eyes too brazenly.
  You took a step back, but another immediately blocked your path back.

  His voice was sweet, but it gave you goosebumps.

You started thinking about how to get out of here when suddenly someone gently hugged you by the shoulders.

  A warm, velvety voice rang out.
  You turned your head and saw... a handsome man with golden hair and incredible blue eyes. His smile was light, almost playful, but his fingers on your shoulder held tightly.

  He added casually, looking at the military men as if their existence did not bother him at all.

  One of them asked irritably.

  He continued as if you really were his beloved.

You nodded instinctively, hoping it would help you leave faster.
The soldiers exchanged displeased glances, but after a second of silence they only snorted.

  He threw one down as he walked away.
  You froze, watching them disappear around the corner, and then looked up at your “savior.”
